Freshly Squeezed Reviews: Free OS Guides

Aug 30, 2020 | Reviews | 0 comments

Need help with some software, hardware, or a new device? Most likely Apple has a guide for that.

They’re located in the book store and are absolutely free. They’re not ‘deep dives’ but they do make you aware of all the features and capabilities available to you.

I find that the software guides come in particularly handy if I haven’t tried a feature. For example, I’ve never delved into Handoff but it may speed up my workflow. So, I open the macOS guide, read up on how to use it, and give it a whirl. To paraphrase Steve Jobs, I may not have known I needed it.

They’re simply guides and as such won’t provide you with any tricks or tips. And they certainly will be of no use for troubleshooting.

They span the gamut from every OS and device to Vegan Chicken Salad Sandwiches (OK, that last one may be a stretch.)

But they’re free and there for the taking. Thought I’d let you know.

You Following Me?

You must have a great deal of time on you hands. Best wash them off, then hang with me. But if you follow me at any of these spots, you’ll realize that I do as well.
